I bought mine modded and It saved me a load of cash, chroming, wheels etc.

One thing that puts people off is that when you start modifying the car, chips etc it starts to become less reliable.

More so when you mess with the electrics. The wiring on mine is a bit iffy, as it's had a dashboard swap and a load of ICE cabling.

Adrian.

Also when people look at a moddified motor they immediateley think 'That cars been thrashed'. In most of our cases this simply isnt true but the Nova boys and the likes with there Cherrybombs bring everyone into the same catagory.
If you think about it you modify a motor (Engine wise) to make it go faster. So whoevers looking at your car will think you must drive it hard and fast thats why youve made it faster.
Just the way it is. I brought mine with just a Magnex Exhaust on it but im very glad i did now and wouldnt hesitate to buy a moddified car in the future as it does save you a lot of money.

Also, some people want to buy a mota and make it there own, and with the likes of yours Stu, theres not a lot more they can do to it to make it different!

Like with Ades car, he has still got the huge recaro window stickers and people instantly recognise the car from the magazines, but they dont recognise the face as the guy before Ade had the stickers on first of all, so if the potential purchaser has the idea of getting the car in a mag or making it there own by modifying it how they want, less likely to buy a car that already had all this done!

Also, modified cars command more money, and most people would feel that spending 8k on a mota like yours for instance would be maybe better spent on another, younger car etc. Its like the mk3 RST's. beautiful classic cars, but good ones still command bout 5k. Would you feel happy paying 5k on a B/C-reg car? we know its worth it, but still a tough decision
