Mobile Phone Virus Alert
If you receive a phone call and your mobile phone displays:
ACE-?
on the screen DON'T ANSWER THIS CALL - END THE CALL IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU ANSWER THE CALL, YOUR PHONE WILL BE INFECTED BY THIS VIRUS.
This virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with the telephone network. You will have to buy a new phone. This infomation has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. There are over 3 million mobile phones being infected by this virus in USA now.
Not sure if this applies to UK networks or even if its true but you never know.......
Take care of your phone....and each others

Sounds very similar to that new "DEADLY EVIL VIRUS" that deletes your hard drive, wipes your credit cards, leaves the loo seat up and hides your socks...

sounds like a load of nutsack to me mate... do you knwo anyone who its happened to and actually seen it bust? cos to be fair the IMEI is hard to get at, on nokias u need to flasht he rom to change it and that involves cracking open the fone and playing silly buggers with a soldering iron! if there was a way to edit this rom thriugh a fone call dont u think people would be using it for useful things?
i very much doubt that this is possible..... like where are these calles with ace on the end coming from? and the number would have to be in yer simcard for the name to come up on the screen for a start!
