mk3.5 steering wheel question
Hi guys
Fitted my rs wheel to my 3.5 today so ive lost the use of the steering lock for the time being i know this will be sorted next month
So my question is, How do i disable the air bag circuit? i cant be sitting there with a flashing airbag light. Is there an airbag canceller or somet??
Look forward to hearing asap

Re: mk3.5 steering wheel question
hi m8 i have the same as you a mk3.5 i tried the rs wheel and it fitted but doesnt fit to the steering lock part as the boss part is a different size, you can over come this with other earlier mk3 fiesta parts, but i decided to get a after market boss and wheel, my lock works now, but my indicators dont cancel them selve but this wasnt a mot issue for me anyway
as in answer to your air bag light, mine only had the driver side air bag, i took out the bulb and i took out the wireing loom for the air bag switch, but you can join the wires together and it tricks the light into thinking the air bag is still there, not sure how well that works but i read it in max power haynes manual
so as long as you dont have a passenger side air bag too just unplug the air bag wires and take the bulb out, the mot tester wont know any different as you will have no air bag or air bag light, you cant even really tell there is a option for the air bag light on the clocks anyway, but you could argue its standard ford clocks for the option that some fiesta have air bags some dont
hope that helps and makes sense
oh and mk3.5 fiesta is same steering wheel boss as early mk4 fiestas
