Making a reply to a post....
Hi guys haven't been about for ages and dont use the site that often due to not owning a fiesta anymore but i do still use the trading areas from time to time.
I'd like to ask why is it that when i make a reply to a post i get thrown onto a preview screen. fair enough , but i have to hit 'submit' at least 4 or 5 times and go from one preview screen to another before the post is actually made?
Extremely irritating , is there any way this can be changed?
cheers
Jonny

Cheers mixon that's helped me realise who done it and why they did it but after what seems most said " i think you should find another way to stop spam" or whatever it was ignored
Bit useless if you like to type and reply fast like i do

I read that if you took longer than 5 seconds to type your reply out and hit 'submit' it wouldnt do it...
My last reply took 30 seconds or so and took me 12 attemptes to post it
what a god awful 'add-on' to the site! makes it impossible to reply to posts without making making your blood boil and not bother.
I wonder how many other people this has put off from posting on the site?
Now , i know full well this will get ignored or maybe locked / deleted as im not one of the in 'clique' on here but surely its common sense not to put 'anti-user' mods on the site?
I'm all for getting rid of spam on forums and welcome mods that help the admin to achieve this but come on, this is clearly not the way forward??
From now on i'll have to resort to only posting a reply if i'm really interested in a post, apart from that i'll leave it thanks

maybe it is my end i dont know but for instance i click on a post and it loads up.
I read it then type out a reply.
the i hit 'submit' and this is where it all goes funlumps up!
For instance , i know this i reply im typing now will take me at least 10 attempts to get it to actually submit
I'm not trying to cause trouble or be a wise guy but if this happened to you on a forum every single time you wanted to make a post or submit a reply to a post would you want to use that forum?
I've never had this problem on any of the other forums i use, im not computer savvy so to speak so dont know if its a problem my end but im using a new p.c i bought 3 months ago on a decent broadband connection.
I put it down to a terrible mod added onto the site and i suggest that it is removed and more attention is focused on mods that stop these so called 'bots' getting onto the site rather than dealing with them if / when they get onto the site.

The problem is that if you click submit on here within 5 seconds of opening the reply box it goes to preview and the 5 seconds appears to be reset everytime you click submit or preview, presumeably because it refreshes the reply box.
Slowing down posting to help prevent flooding is a good idea, this just isn't a very well implemented cure.

Cheers for that Ollie, that was doing my nut in. People like us are used to working a lot faster than the forum at times
