Re: M4D RST Fiesta - Carbon roof
Small update but what a headache, if i spoke to anyone from here via phone over the past few days apologies...
shaun for one i was rather stressed from doing the cage modifications and a little ratty on the phone
Well just finished painting it tonight and im happy with it now.
I used to run a Fusion Fabrications made rear strut brace that bolted to the rear turrets, now i have a fully welded in jobbie and also
due to the front section of cage not housing the stainless bar for the pod guages i had last year a bar was profiled by my goodself and welded into place.
The flocked dash needed to be trimmed underneath to fit in but its in now again.
The rear section of the cage used to have just 1 x diagonal bar which i wanted to add to.
The hardest part of all was making the lengths to fit. The ends profiled so they join perfectly at the ... well at the joins lol
Here it is looks much more suitable now,

Re: M4D RST Fiesta - Carbon roof
Ok after selling the guages last year i was planning to fit a dash back in the car which i have done and had flocked.
The big question was what to install in the dash to read all the vital information needed.
So i decided to bite the bullet and get a full race spec dash display....
When all powered up the visual display is amazing and this plugs directly to the ecu and reads out everything from
exhaust temp- fuel level- shift light -which gear your in etc etc.

The carbon mould will set this back into the dash and fit flush with the carbon surround that fits perfectly around it.

Re: M4D RST Fiesta - Carbon roof
So is this what the suprise part is, surround for the display???
Nice display that, Havent totally made my mind up though on digital display over normal needle style gauges.

I came down with youngdan so I was round the Fast Ford alot in my hungover state. Had a good look round the car.
I do love the car as everyone did that day. Always a crowd around it.
Truly a special car. My fave car of the show easily.
