The tank doesnt cool the oil merely contains the oil opposed to the sump itself.

The oil system will have a oil cooler in which will maintain the oil's temperture at a controlled rate.

We have a mammoth task ahead to get this ready for Central day.

As you can see below 3 of us on it today since 9am

Well just got back from workshop and have to say hats off to Jim and Clive for staying late again.

Progress is being made but still lots to do. Its not until you start fitting parts back you realise they need modding as you go.


Jim came up trumps with this little bit of fabrication, his days wondering the aisles of "hobbycraft" have certainly paid off


The mount is to hold the half shaft bearing which was mounted to the st170 sump. Now with the dry sump it had to be mounted off the block.









Then it was back onto the plumbing in for the dry sump pipework all made and now tight. The routing of it has worked out really well. Looks spot on!...





Remote filter housing sits nicely in the front wing and will be sheilded by the inner arch liner. Quick release bumper will enable oil change/filter change to be a doddle.

Front end all off again to get the engine plumbed up and wired.

Inside is slowly getting there with various pieces being finished off.

Dry sump tank is now mounted
