Cheers mate comments appreciated.
Been busy sorting parts for the new build last month and im finally getting somewhere.
just no time to post updates as yet

Pretty much everything I need is on order and should arrive by Mid Jan, dam xmas is in the way…lol
Once Jan arrives I can get fitting all the parts and give a decent update with pics etc of the build..

Perhaps though I may wait till Fiesta in the Park for its preview…

Either way its going to be radically different from this year with a lot of change in both look and performance.

welcome to 2008, time for me to get some hard graft going....

as mentioned lots ordered and finally allcoming through, dummy engine is coming out the car this weekend and then sent to Ian Howell,

this will get the CP pistons and h section rods and a general tidy up and strong build.... still awaiting other parts from the states but i have shipping confirmation so just a few days to wait.

If im honest as i sit here writing this i would say NO :(

if i am totally honest though it hope it to be mate lol.....

once the engine is back from Ian H then it will seem to come together alot quicker...
at the moment the engine bay looks....... well........ shocking.... and empty.

The list of bits to buy is getting ticked off quickly but as soon as i tick one i seem to add another lol

I WILL HAVE IT READY I WILL I WILL I WILL :D

Alright mikee, to be honest all of the above and one more....??????? **

1 have built this to drive it but also to look the part too, it will be on show but im not entering it into any
show or shine competitons. Although i am im not offically a bufty

1/4miles is not really my thing, its predominatly built for track use, saying that though I want to see what times are achievable and it will be going up to Brunthingthorpe for a **top speed run too...??

With 1/4 mile the set up is so different to track I cant do both so track wins hands down for me

April is the start of the show season.. and most track days etc.. thats the deadline.

as for Jap cars it should waste a few round track if i can learn how to use the power and drive the thing to its full potential.

the 1/4 mile though... differnt matter jap cars are renowned for there launching and FWD fords just dont cut it. top speed though i think it should do fairly well :)

Well today saw me remove the engine and gearbox so as to send the block to Ian H for the build to be done.

Had a slight issue in that i could not find the keys to the car so had to remove the steering column and attack the steering lock with a hack saw to remove it... then the car could be pushed to the garage up the road and the engine removed.

Dam cars lol...

Well on the way to garage to remove parts i though i would take a couple of shots one fron inside showing the new alloy filler neck tube which sees the elephant trunk like tubing vanish at last...

the other pics are still works in progress but you can see how the gearbox mount has come out before final coat of paint..

i can see (as can alot of people by the looks of it) this car being a beastttt :D

people be sucking on that tailppe trying to chase you....always good to see a fez shame other cars that cost
twice the dollar:)

bearing in mind m not sure how much you have spent in total including hours of your life.
i wont ask :D all worth it though
good luck with the rest

Alot of time has gone into it, but all has been enjoyed and still enjoyed to this hour!.

Time will tell the final result but it will be on display this year at fiesta in the park on the Fast Ford stand.

You can keep up with the build process in Fast Ford each month as they kindly asked me to do a monthly diary :)
