how to......
ok guys
i need to tune my subs amp and headunit all together. i cant seem to do it.
i would like quite a bit of bass from the subs i can sort the rest out but i cant get them right. so an help would be great.
i have this at the mo:
sony mdx m690
sony xm-2200gtx
2 10" sony subs 1100w
alpine sps 690 6 x 9
and some sony custom door speakers.
any help i would be grateful

Set the subout eq on the headunit to '0', then turn the headunit volume upto around 80%, then turn the gain on the sub up until is distorts or about 2/3's, dont turn the bass boost on or the LPF (unless its ported). If theres still not alot of bass turn the subout up one bar at a time until you get the desired results, you may need to turn the bass up as well,
TBH the only accurate way to set a system up is with an occiloscope...so if you can get one of these great

cool thanks for that i will have a go mate and let you know, with my old set up it was just plug in and it was there but with this new stuff it kinda confused me abit to many setting means to much to do
