Hi new frst owner
Hi all just thought I'd get the mandatory first post hello out of the way lol....
Anyway recently bought a red frst am in the middle of sorting out and quick resto on it before winter sets in
Only done 70k genuine with all previous mot,s and history too which is good bought it from a chap who planned to restore it but only got as far as cutting some of the rot out and gave up , it then sat in his garage best part of 5 yrs until I rescued it .........
Quite funny actually as was only looking for a interior for another rs I have that I'm restoring and stumbled across the frst and had to buy it
Plan on refreshing it giving it paint and tidy up then use over winter and maybe then sell on who knows
It's all original apart from a d/v fitted and air filter but will be kept std rather than turning it into a beast so to say .....
Anyway that's it really and hi to all

Re: Hi new frst owner
Sure will put pics up now
This was as I bought it tho
Slowly getting there just replacing rot with new metal and hope to have it in paint very soon
As you can see its the typical inner and outer arches also fuel filler repair
And sills too
Have nearly finished passenger side just awaiting the fuel filler panel to turn up
ALSo just need to finish welding the drivers side arch up
Then underneath being cleaned up reseated and painted
Hoping to have it ready for paint in next two weeks as currently doing work on the drive as my other projects are taking garage and lockup space
So need the fezza done ASAP really

Re: Hi new frst owner
After 2 weeks of working on it cpl of hours here and there it looks like this
As you can see its coming along nicely no major rot underneath which is good
Just a bit more grinding and welding to do then should be ready to paint

Nice to see another one being saved. Drop me a PM if you want a new genuine passenger side indicator.

Re: Hi new frst owner
Well finally the correct fuel filler panel has arrived today which should let me finish the last bit of welding finally .....
Bit of a pain in the bum as was sent a late filler panel at first (big hole) arrrggghh.
In the meantime been slowly removing all the old underseal from underneath and red/leading and repainting it as I go
Starting to take shape and hopefully in paint next week if all goes well , also have a fuel filler repair panel for a late fiesta if anyone needs it for the price of postage , no point me keeping it lol
