help with connecting sub amp.
my headunit does not have a preamp, just front left/right and rear left/right, how can i connect this to an amp for a sub?

You mean it doesn't have the low-lever outputs, only high-level ones for powering speakers?
If so, you need an amp with high-level input capabilities or a device that brings the high-level output down.

That's the sort of thing. You can get them in Maplin, maybe Halfords, and probably loads of other places too.
As for using the high-level for speakers aswell, I don't really know. Have you got the amp already?

I have a Sony amp, 12" sub and box and stuff (panels at the side) to fit in a Mk3 for sale. 90 pound, all in. Will probably throw in some wiring too.
BTW, this amp has high-level inputs built in.
