Have engineering code but need FINIS number.

Postby Excursion on Mon Dec 31, 2012 10:21 am

All,
I have an engineering code 1M5Z1S175AC but I need the FINIS code to order it in the UK. Does anyone know where or if these two are mapped? My local Ford parts contact can't help.

Thanks.

I'll have a look on Wednesday for you Mark. Can't do it tonight / tomorrow unfortunately. What part does it relate to?

I can't find a match for it, have you got a description of the part?

Thanks for this Tom. The part is a water seal which pushes onto the spindle of a rear disc equipped Mk1 Focus. To my knowledge the water seal isn't listed or available separately in our country, and instead comes as part of the spindle assembly:

If it helps, the Motorcraft reference is BRS117.

It would be worth trying 1212557 / 1M51 4C007-AA as this is a seal that fits between the lockwasher and wheel bearing ring.

There is another seal shown that fits between the wheel bearing and hub which does not have a part number listed but I think the one above is the part you need.

If this isn't available or isn't the correct part I often get complete rear spindles which I can supply for a fraction of the list price.

Thanks Tom forlooking. I had that part already, which isn't the one. I've ordered the seals from amazon.com of all places! I was hoping they were available separately in the UK but it doesn't look like it.

How much are the spindles?

They are around £150 each at list price, if and when I get them I normally sell them for £25 each.

These are the ones for models with Rear Discs and Fiesta ST 150. Focus RS ones would be considerably more expensive.

Please let me know when you get a pair of the non-RS ones, as I will buy them.

Will let you know if I find some / get some in. I've only got about another 1500 cubic feet of storage space to work through not including any new deliveries!

I've certainly not got the ABS sensors - they are still a 'live' part and would sell through at full retail so I tend not to find them or can get them out of my main supplier.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I have the Fiesta ST stoped, because of that. I have found the US code, but could not find the right finis code for that. And my local dealer could´t help me.

That´s the right part number:

Here's how it comes from the package. The seal is inside the plastic cup. the cup is used to place the seal on the spindle and then discarded.

Width 0.630

OE Number 1M51 4C006 AA
OEManufacturer Ford
OE Number 1M5Z 1S175 AA

I think that is not Motorcraft (BRS117 - Ford: 1M5Z1S175AC Ford Seal) but BRS94.

Hello, I found all of the above during my research too, and I remember coming across BRS94 early on but I discounted it for some reason. I seem to recall that I found a Motorcraft spec sheet which mapped the Focus seal with BRS117, so I ordered a pair of them from the states. I'll let you know if they are correct once they have arrived.

Amazon was the a supplier who would send internationally for a reasonable price. Here's the link for the seals I ordered: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000IYHCD ... r1&pi=SL75

If you want to try the BRS94 then Rock Auto will ship a a pair for $81 USD all in http://www.rockauto.com/

It's really disappointing that Ford don't sell these separately!

The BRS117 is for the Focus Mk2 i think, and the BRS94 is for Mk1 (Ford Focus). I will try to search in SKF a seal with that dimensions. If i could not find that, i will try in the US for BRS94.

If you could find some other information please share with me.
