Postby xjtaggedx on Thu Aug 14, 2014 10:23 am

I am having my mechanic fitting my new recon turbo fitted next week and I have been ask by my mechanic to get a t2 turbo fitting kit. I have looked on ebay but do not really know what I am looking for. I guess he wants the whole kit, gaskets and bolts, feeds and all. Can somebody please link me to somewhere where I can get my hands on what he needs please. I would be very grateful thank you

There isn't anything... Oil return gasket, the other fittings only have copper washers on them.
Do you already have a turbo on and this is replacing it so you have the feeds and returns etc?

Yes sir I have the standard turbo on the car it's just going to be a direct replacement. I will purchase a flange. I have studs and a tiny gasket. I see a water feed on ebay is that something I should buy and am I missing anything out. I am grateful for you guys help I know it may seem like a dumb ass question but I do not know a lot about cars.

If it's a direct replacement then you should only need the oil return gasket. This goes on the back side of the turbo.you will already have the flange on your exhaust manifold or turbo?

I've just rebuilt my t2 and it came with an oil return gasket so yours may tol?

Dave_b thank you. This is exactly what I wanted to know. Yes sir mine also comes with the gasket and studs. I have had a look around and seems there is no such thing as a turbo to manifold gasket for the frst. Thank you very much all for all the help. Goes in tomorrow. Wish me luck.
