fuel tank question
hello,
my car has been off road since about january being rebuilt. when i took her off road the petrol was in the red so there is a little bit still in the tank but what happens when i come to put the car back on the road? is it safe to just put some petrol in it and use it again or will i have to clean the tank out? also if thats the case how do i clean it?
thanks in advance

If you haven't contaminated it with oil or grit, you should be reasonably safe to fill it up and go.
Err on the side of caution if you're not sure though - whip it out and flush it out.

sould be reasonably safe to use it, but as a personal opinion i wouldnt
easy way to do it is to feed the lift pump with a constant live feed take a pip off in engine bay, fuel filter is ideal, and perfect time to change it, this also means any crud that might come out wont get a chance to get to fuel rail. when it stops if the petrol that has come out look good with no crap then just fill the tank.
the other more careful method just drop the tank out and was it out.
depends how keen u r to lie under ur car
