Time for a update been doing some cosmetics on the interior of the car recently, you may of seen my post appealing for people selling flocking kits well i found a place in Rochdale, Manchetser. the kit set me back only 40 quid from a company called Frosts they specilaise in restoration of cars and motorcycles.

the kit consisted of,
x1 adeshive
x1 300ml of flock
x1 empty bottle to fill the flock with.

then i bought a extra bottle of adeshive and extra 300 ml.

i didnt need the extra bottle adeshive and ive used nearly all of the flock but i have managed to flock the following with only 600ml of flock,
x2 door handles
x2 door pockets
x2 door latch surrounds
x1 speedo/clocks surround
x1 centre console
x2 a pillar plastics

so if you where thinking of doing your hole dash then 600ml is plenty and one bottle of adeshive.

pictures of all the parts iam going to flock first as a test before i do mt dash :D

Image

Image
picture of the bottle used to spray the flock and bottle of adeshive and my homemade flocking area  so i can recycle any of the unused flock.

Image
my speedo surround just waiting to dry you leave it to dry for 24 hrs.

Image
surround fitted.

Image
my center console i think it looks mint i even did the pockets as i am always putting my mobile in there and the rattling does my head in.

Image

Image
pictures of my door handels fitted and door pockets and also i you havent noticed my diy carbon door cards these are 100 percent carbon

i also took few pictures of my rollcage that i bought off muz a while back its made by a company called rollcentre and i also fitted my omp rear strut brace and painted it satin black to match my rollcage.
Image
Image

sorry about the Recaro's there in good condition but the monaco s seats where abit uncomfy for 70 miles a commute. i think they look out of place but there alot more comfy but when i get my van cobra's will go back in or these,
http://www.12tune.nl/index.php?target=p ... ct_id=1654
they are full carbon and extremely good value for money and i think they look very good as alot of bucket seats look terrible.

your thoughts on the recent post please.

cheers jonny

Postby frostie on Wed Nov 26, 2008 9:57 pm

not really any updates tbh the flocking on some parts has not been as hard wearing ie i havent degreased it enough so it has lifted in places ive been really busy with fixing my run around 'SHED 3' another 2.0 Fiesta the one that was struggling to sell on here. it is mot time with in a month so i need new sills and little bits of patches sorting out for when it will be painted in summer i am going to changing the front bumper to a RS /XR number with a VR6 splitter.

as i am not using it every day now i ve fitted my cobra Monaco bucket seats as the rs800 Recaros where comfy but just looked out of place in the stripped out interior.

well i need to buy some more flocking and then i will do another centre consol and put up a guide.

on the megasquirt front its been 1 year 6 months and i havent even had to remove it or touch it in any way amazing really impressed with it, except for mapping  but i may be upgrading to the new ecu for a few more features.

iam after a new wheel set Compomotive TH'S in any con if someone can point me in right direction.
