Finally

Finally think I've fixed my rs I've now actually completed 50 trouble free miles with no problem starting her back up ! Yesssss!

Stuck my hand down the back of the drivers seat and found this. Am I right in thinking its a reverse light switch ? :-?

This is the first time I've driven the FRST properly since it's been t3'd, what should I do next? stick a cam in and if so what one ?.

Also the t3 I got came with a bleed valve fitted , shall I ditch this for the Amal valve ? The only problem I have is my air filter hose doesn't have the nipple coming of it for the pipe to run to the Amal valve. What should I do ! .

Cheers matt

Yeah that's a reverse light switch.

I'm not a fan of bleed valves, although I have one fitted to my rs in the line from Amal to intake pipe, I fitted this years ago when I upped the boost, it's set and never messed with, so provided you don't mess with you if it's set to a safe limit, leave it there

If you choose to do away with the std pipe set up and run the bleed valve directly on the turbo with no form of boost control what so ever, then yes, you can fit one from the nipple on the compressor housing to the nipple on the actuator.

If you want boost control still, then you fit it in line from the T piece from the turbo and actuator to the Amal valve.

Mattious, what I forgot to put yesterday was, the pipe from the Amal valve to the intake pipe is nothing but a vent pipe, rather than it venting into the engine bay, ford piped it into the intake system via the intake pipe, so you don't really need to have it piped to the intake pipe, a vac house hanging in the bay will be fine, with the exception of there not being an air filter to stop any crap getting into the Amal valve
