Well I got Rob's motor on Monday night (late) and so far I have:
Cleaned the engine up,
Fitted yellow silicon spark leads,
Change the wiper parking to the side and blade length so it don't go over the rubber,
Installed my head-unit (but not the rest!),
Replaced the plunger to detect the bonnet being lifted,
Got rid of those nasty Max Power and Fast Ford stickers.

I am having a problem as the car is pulling to the left when lifting off high acceleration and is rubbing quite badly. When I took the front wheels off I also found that the front discs need replacing. The front wheels are also rubbing on the arch liner and have now worked their way through to the metal, so I'm gonna have to raise the car up (especially at the back) to avoid this in the future.

RS Bob (Rob) should be sorting me out with another driveshaft very soon and if you read this Rob get on the case!!!

matt the front liners are worn from when the car had orion injection 195/65/14 on they were a to high profile. the rears never had a problem as they have got 9.5mm spacers to miss the shocks. The way to cure this is to fit bumpstops to the front. Or the best way is to fit 195/45/15s as this is supposed to be the biggest you should fit to fiestas. But to be rubbing out of the body you are driving it FECKING HARD as we did fitp four up fully loaded accros ground with no problems even over speed bumps never had a problem.

P.S The car dont need discs i know that i fitted them three years ago myself and the car has only done 10k since. New pads have only been fitted about 2k ago. The disc are ap lockheed racing. Not do-do as most fit. Needed to be when i had a turbo in it.

We'll I seem to be getting a problem, its quite worrying, I want 4 people, sometimes 5 + a ton of ICE in my car with absolutely no rubbage! and I want to drive it hard.

With me in it I took it round a left corner not particularily hard and heard, with my own ears the rear passanger tyre bumping on the arch.

Maybe just have RS1800i springs on? They come with 15's in the first place don't they?
So they should look alright but I need to stop it catching.

I know the front discs need replacing as they have passed the marker and are now thinner than the out strip marker if you know what I mean.

ALSO when I take it around corners I hear something moving from left to right or vice versa in the back of the car, it's nothing in the boot [ERRR] it's totally empty and it don't sound very nice, what is it?

Well whatever it is moves from left to right and vice versa in the back of the car somewhere the boot is totally empty so it's something to do with the suspension, it has to be.

I think I'm gonna leave the springs on the car but I'm either gonna get rock hard Spax or some of those things you put in the springs that you can get from DemonTweeks, they are rubber bits that stop the spring compressing too much.

I need to work out exactly where this sound is coming from.

Hey Fiesta Boy, I want FRST Recaro's badly if they are mint. I ain't gonna get rid of the springs but maybe we could arrange a part exchange?
