i painted mine the other week when i fitted it

i painted the block using, brush on hammerite
inlet manifold, gearbox+sump+rocker cover, i just used standerd car paint out of a aerosol
exhaust manifold, i used exhaust manifold paint

i dint do the head as i wanted to keep it alloy

when the car was first started it was a bit smokey which i expected, not thick smoke just a "cooking smoke"

after that passed its been fine and has held on well
