Custom Carbon Fibre Service
Myself and my business partners are in the process of setting up a business to sell custom made carbon fibre parts, like wings, bonnets, doors, dashboards, door cards etc. So we would use your current parts to create carbon-fibre replicas.
The reason for this post is to get some opinions of people who would be interested in such a service and ask how much you would be willing to pay for each part. Any feedback you could leave would be of great help.

Can you post up some pics of your work?
I may be in the market in a month or so for some carbon bits for my Audi A4, dash centre console panel and engine cover.

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
how much for the foloowing
bonnets
roofs
wings
rear tailagtes
Rough prices would be handy to gauge if competitive.
I presume you cover the cost for all panels to be used to make your moulds.
Can you confirm the process in which your panels are manufatured.

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
Yeah I'd like to be able to get my body done in carbon fibre. I could really do with a carbon fibre roof, although I would not want to spend more than £900 for it. I'd pay around £600 for a bonnet. Would you be able to do tailgates as I'd probably be in the market for it in a year or so. I'd pay up to £900-950 for one of those! You might want to look into wheel arches as they would fetch quite a bit (guessing £1000). As for wings: £500-600 would be my best guess.

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
Seem pretty sound to me, answers the question that was asked in the first place
If you guys could do a post like "rob's" or "dAndy's" with prices of carbon fibre parts and what you would be willing to pay, i'd REALLY REALLY appreciate it (and it might lessen the likeliness of future "random posts")
Thanks guys

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
I would hope to think they could supply information on the processes and materials they use, when up and running.
With regard to cost, this should be a price in which the company state rather than the end user.
A mould cost is high, a panel cost is low.
What are the mould prices and what would a typical panel cost, then we can establish what we would be willing to pay for the service.

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
You're dead right, we haven't started up yet. I did not say we had. It would be a bit silly to start up a high-overhead business before finding out if we can turn over enough money to survive.
So I take it none of you can give me ROUGH price you'd be willing to pay for carbon fibre parts then...(please?)

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
I payed £395 for a carbon roof and £495 for the bonnet. But I wouldn't pay any more than that. I'd pay maybe £100 for a cam cover, £400 ish for a tailgate with spoiler. Dont think I'd bother with wings doors etc. Thats a bit silly

Re: Custom Carbon Fibre Service
I'm seriously looking to get a load of carbon bits from you.
I'm soon to be in contact regarding getting a carbon bonnet.
Would you do carbon wheel arches? font wings? FRST bonnet vents?
