Cat 1 Alarm Fitting

Postby FiestaBen on Fri Feb 27, 2009 1:20 pm

I believe the fiesta mk3.5 came with an immobiliser as standard but for security and insurance reasons I'd be interested in having a cat 1 alarm fitted. Is it possible to have a cat 1 alarm fitted to a car with no central locking?

Was going to go for a cat 1 because that way I also get someone to fit it properly... I'm not that great with electrics

If I was to buy one myself, is there anyone... besides myself... who could fit it?

No it certainly wouldn't! Needs to be fitted by someone who knows what they are doing to make it worthwhile and secure!

find a reputable vehicle electricain in your area. shouldnt take more than a couple of hrs tops £35per hr. £140 verses what are cat ones at mo £250-£300 ?
If you want to make it more like a cat one I advise changeing the wires to black ones instead of colour being coded. excluding the antena. try to get one that has battery back up. then you have a cat one alarm with shock sensor. As cat ones cant have shock senseing
