yep you can just about manage it with the head still on.

best way is to take off the front offside mount and lower the engine on a jack so the dizzy end points up a bit to give clearence.

Anyhoo, crack the cam pulley bolt off with the belt still on. Take the belt off (set it to TDC obviously), rocker cover off, dizzy off, take the thrust plate out (bolts are behind the cam pulley which should just slide off), take the rockers off, remove the tappets.

Get a tin of carb cleaner or similar and clean the whole head up, pay particular attention to the oil feed holes.

Then coat some engine oil or the cam lube in the bearings and all over the cam. Slot it and and well you can manage the rest.

stick the cam in any old way, remeber theres not tappets in there so your not gonna be opening any valves etc whilst doing it.

So bang it in, fit the thrust plate, stick the camwheel back on and then fit the cambelt then put the rest of the valve gear back together.Easiest way.
