broken changer lead - fixable?

Postby festajon on Sun Apr 16, 2006 8:26 pm

Right, i've bought a kenwood 10cd changer and lead off a mate at work who's just had his headunit nicked out of his car  However they didnt nick the changer, but while ripping the HU out the plug goin into the HU must have snagged and on closer inspection can see that a couple of the wires in the actual plug part have come out from where they connect to the pins on the other side. i was just wondering if it was possible to connect these wires back to the pins, as i dont wanna attempt taking them out if i'm just gonna make it worse!! also how would i connect them back up if it's possible? here's a pic of it tho not very clear with the green wire and purple wire not connected

and a pic of the plug with the plastic casing on showing the pins on the other side:

thanks, Jon

You can buy them in Halfords for about £20 iirc. They have them on the shelf as well.

Don't even bother trying to repair it, just not worth the aggro for the sakes of a score

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
