invest in some sound deadening for the boot area...the product i use with GREAT success is Second Skin Damplifier (there is also a pro version available for slightly more money)...cover 1-2layers all over the boot floor, arches and tailgate and it will help eliminate the rattles you have...

here is a clip of my focus when we had 2 15's in the boot...the only rattle you hear are metal shutters beside the car

Bassboy that crazy

But i was under the impression that it would still happen, as the boot rattles on a standard car anyway? :-?

scot69 - that was 5kwrms on bass amps, but that was nothing ;)

M1K3Y_B - Rattling is basically panels resonanting...and plain thin metal panel will resonate at a higher frequency than one which is thicker...By adding sound deadening, your simply adding mass to the panel to lower is resonant frequency...the panel will still move...but the sound it makes will be undetected if deadened right because it is just resonanting at a far too low frequency

Sound deadening simply adds mass...it strengthens slightly, but thats not its primary objective...a FULLY sound deadened car like my focus will still flex...just without that horrid vibrating noise
