Do you mean where it says poster on yours?

If you do, thats custom post status and can only be done by the site admin

the avatar is a picture that would go underneath your stars

as above the custom status needs to be done by admin

Its not just a case of editing your profile like a sig or avatar, its a custom status and can only be done in the backend of the forum by the Admin

i know that, you have a number of posts and choose a status name. Ijust noticed on some sites you can have a picture and write something of your own.
