hi guys im new to the forum im having problems finding where i can thread the battery cable from the engein bay into the car is there somewhere secret its hidden or doi have to take the dash off or something like that your help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

on the drivers side in the engine bay there is a large rubber grommet i pierced a hole in it threaded the cable through which you will see pop out from under the dash and then sealed the edge of the hole to stop water leaking into the cabin.

The one on the passenger side is for the ecu. Run the wire around the back of the bay. The gromit gumpy is talking about is behind/underneath the header tank, removing the header tank (one bolt) makes it easier to get to. It's circular.

If it's a Mk4/5 then the rubber grommet will be on the passenger's side. I made a small hole in the one in my my car so that it sealed itself by being tight around the wire.
