ALARM PROBLEM??
hey all, recently have had a toad ai606 put on my xr2i. earlier tonight, and since its been installed when i lock and unlock it chirps. ive just got home and locked the car but it only made a really reduced chirp rather than a loud one, so i did it a few times and the noise of the beep has almost gone, you can only just hear it, ive checked my owners booklet but nothing in there, and i thought id ask on here befor i ring the fitter, any ideas would be great. ive tried turning the beep on and off with the fob, but no success.
thanks, Dan

Re: ALARM PROBLEM??
Sounds like the alarm sounder has failed or is pointing upwards and filled with water or similar. See if you can locate the "buzzer" and make sure its mounted correctly. If the fitter has offered a warranty/guarantee then just use that.

Re: ALARM PROBLEM??
nick could be right with the water.
i would call the fitter anyway, dont touch it, its covered under a warrenty and if you mess with it you can void that, so leave it alone, and call the fitted, if something is at fault, or had been fitted in a why where its got damaged or full of water, then thats there problem and they have to sort it, you go moving things they could pass the buck to you, not worth it, call them up and see what they say
