got this thing been on me mind i got this girl m8 we been m8s since me and ex split about 18months ago, within a week of me and ex spliiting we got close had bit of sexy time

well mate, from what you have put it does sound like she likes you, but i see where your coming from about the friend side of it.

your worried if you get together and it dont work, not only will you lose a girlfriend, yor lose a best/good friend so your stuck on what to do.

i would say go for it.
ask her out for a drink, i kow it sounds corny but shes a mate , so its not a date, just both go out somehwre quite for a drink, maybe a meal too, (feb 14th and all that), in fact thats not a bad idea, if shes singal and so are you then suggest going out together as friends just for a night out
then talk to her, explain what you been thinking and how you feel and see what response you get, you could even ask her questions like, how do you think we would get on if we were together/more than friends etc and just take it from there and if it looks like you 2 can get together then go for it and good luck to ya both mate.
as its been said, life is too short, and depending on what it is, i always say better to regreat something you have done than something you havent, so if shes willing, give it a go and see what happens, to wonder what might be, or might of been is not good as your be wondering it for ever.

but i think the signs are there, and maybe she is worried you dont like her like that and she wont say anything as she doesnt want to lose you as a friend, so its gunna take you to tell her and make the move to get the ball rolling, if indeed its gunna roll at all.

Agreed with the others, it sounds like she like you as well but is in the same situation as you and doesn't want to say anything because she is scared of what the outcome will be.
