Even stranger is that if you search for "2009" your post appears but looking at the thread it is not there

Can only guess that posts in that section need to be moderated before they display

When you say earlier this morning, do you mean early hours? It goes down for a backup and maintenance for an hour.

No, it wasn't the back up and maintence thing, as that happens at 3am and the site goes down for 20mins
