Re: 6X9 Installation
Ah right i get you,
On the plug that goes into the back of the head unit you'll have wires for the front and the back speakers. I take it if your fitting 6x9's then you won't be using the smaller rear speakers. The easiest thing to do is to cut the wires for the rear speakers (which should already be nicely attached to the plug) and fit some bullet connections to them and the wires you are using for the 6x9's.
take it its this kinda plug your on about? the redish plug is for the speakers so you'd have to cut the wires. I believe its the purple and grey ones that are the rears but i could be wrong. haven't done any for ages.

Swiss :Ah right i get you,
I still don't.
If the cables are falling out the back of the headunit, you'll need the connectors Swiss has just shown you. If the cables are falling off the 6x9's you'll need spade connectors.

Re: 6X9 Installation
i think hes got the blocks but instead of choppin the wires and connecting them together, he's getting the 6x9 wires and shoving them into the holes at the back of the blocks where the connectors go which will just fall out.
kinda like this i'm guessin.

Re: 6X9 Installation
take the green and purple coloured wires and cut them at the base of the connector then strip the wires using some wire cutters or strippers
then using some good ole spade or bullet connectors crimp black and green wire to the left negative wire for the 6/9 and the plain green on to the positive left 6/9 speaker wire
the purple colour is for the right do the same as with the green the black and purple for the negative right 6/9 speaker and purple to the postive right 6/9 wire
its very easy to do and take about 5 mins if ur near blackburn ill do it for you in 5 mins and ill only ask for 2.50 lol as ill be using connectors, tape and time

Re: 6X9 Installation
i would cut it in the middle, give u a little wire to connect it back up incase u move it from cars. like i did, ive had 3 fiestas and its good to have a little music until u fit the speakers. or dont cut the wires at all and just run the speakers from your amp

Re: 6X9 Installation
i meant from the connectors. i wouldnt fit a system without it.
but to save all the wire going to the back of the car under all your trim if you have an amp not doing anything may aswell power the speakers with it
