I disagree.

Old hardcore circa 1996 sounds very dated to the new sounds.

Old hardcore had poor quality synths and poor quality samples (although i love it!) The newer hardcore out now has very high quality highly complex synth work. I feel theres a big difference in the music.

Take the vital ingredients of a 1996 hardcore tune.

Kick drum.
High Hat.
Clap.
sometimes a snare.
Off beat stab.
A few other samples and sometimes a amen break.

Hardcore now still has the kick drum foundation but has very complex percussion rifts and synths - as well as evolved breakbeat programming!

Force and Style - Heart of Gold is now 10 years old! :aaah: :aaah: :aaah:

Saying all this though, I still say hardcore from the 95/96 era is the best and will never be beaten. In fact anything from 1992 till 1997 will go down in history as the foundation of hardcore/4 beat hardcore that we know today. I dont like the new trancey sound of hardcore to be honest and prefer to stick to the experimental break beat sound.

ROTFLMFAO @ scooter's claim to being a "junglist souldier".

Yea i bet you were there back in the early days of evolution from regae music, and its clash with hardcore that gave birth to jungle.

As much as i can imagine him at helterskelter at sidewinder, a true junglist souldier.

I wonder if he even knows what the terms means?

What a dicksplash
