The Fords Of TRAX 2017

TRAX continues to push the boundaries, not so much in terms of the cars on display, but more as to how late in the year you can have a major show and it not be a complete washout. We wern’t quite as lucky as last year, but the damp and overcast conditions remained mostly rain free with the track drying out by the afternoon - crucial for the enjoyment of the sideways action, drifting just isn’t drifting without smoke.
Dark skies make for excellent contrast with the vibrant hues of the cars on display and even standard Ford colours like Nitrous Blue pop nicely against their enviroments. The Airtec branded Mk3 Focus RS in this shade was here again after Ford Fair, but this time not in such a crowded area and on tarmac. Compare with the grey example prior to it in the gallery to see just how much difference the kit makes to the look. A personal favourite of the show for sure.
Also worthy of note was the yellow wide arch Mustang situated on the fringes of the show. It really deserved to be right in the center but on the other hand, goes to show that those who traverse the whole event are rewarded suitably.
