Ford Fair 2022: Fiesta Fever
Posted: 11th October 2022 | Author: @AdrianFRST | Photography: @AdrianFRST
It wasn’t quite the 38°c determined by the NHS to be an actual fever, but it was as close as any sane person would want when walking around in the sun. A sun that is the photographers friend early in the morning, allowing me to capture lovely the glowing paintwork above, but soon becoming an adversary overexposing my skies and casting dark shadows.
In terms of noteworthy cars, a number of interesting engine swaps were present including the supercharged Focus ST170 powered Mk2. Two polar opposites of Fiestas you wouldn’t expect to see in private hands were the British Airways liveried Mk3 and the genuine ex-Ken Block WRC. The latter sported dummy headlight stickers, much like you’d find on a polycarbonate bodied RC car, and presumably for the same weight saving / complexity reducing reasons. Coincidentally, this very car is available in RC form courtesy of HPI. One to add to that Christmas list perhaps?
