For our first look at Ford Fair 2014, I decided to pick out some of the more interesting cars at the show which ultimately means very strange, very impressive or in some cases - both.
A Case in point being KMS Motorsport’s Focus RS. How do you make your demo car stand out from the hundreds of others at the event? WRC spec bonnet, spoiler, lamp pods and roof scoop along with a crazy wrap and blue and pink wheels should do it!

The MkIV Escort’s been around a fair few years now and there’s little that’s not been done. I don’t recall seeing the combo of Zetec Turbo, scissor doors and cream leather before though.

Fordfair 2014 Weird Wonderful 4
I’m not sure what’s going on here. Most people with sizeable installs usually go to great effort to ensure they are perfectly integrated into the car but that doesn’t seem to have been the plan here.
It looks more like someone’s played Tetris with a stack of cheap electronics then gone glue gun trigger happy with some offcuts of orange leather.
The finishing touch has to be the Apple logo - given that the car is the antithesis of everything the company stands for!

Concours Fiesta 1.0l
Although almost all the cars in councours are RS, ST or XR there are people who show some love for base models.
Although, assuming it’s corrosion free, it may find itself the donor for something more potent, being the demand for clear 3-door shells.

Slammed Transit
Some Transits are spared from a life of abuse and instead are pampered and upgraded.
Sitting on air this example displayed a mirror like paint finish, clearly visible in this photo.

MDV RS200 Tarmac Racer
One of the pit garages had a selection of race and rally Fords, including the BTCC Mondeo and RS500 Touring Cars visible here.
This RS200 built by MDV Specialist Engineering is something pretty special. More info and photos to follow.

Charlie Shaw's 900+bhp Focus
Nothing weird about this one - just 900+bhp of insane power making it the fastest car there by some margin. Even the MDV RS200 is a good few hundred horses down.

Hydrodipping Excess
One of the latest crazes is to cover every available square inch of plastic in your engine bay with a garish and stomach turning pattern.
Done with a more subtle motif, and in moderation, this can look good, but hopefully the “exploded paint can” look shown here will soon be nothing more than an embarrassing memory.

Ford GT
We’ve seen GTs at Ford Fair before, and each time I wonder the same things - who’s the owner? Are they here? I can’t imagine someone who can afford such a car being interested in the other cars on show.
Maybe some lucky employee got to pilot it there. The temptation to dodge the show and go on an epic road trip must have been huge.

Sitech Fiesta ST
It might look ridiculous but the wing on this Fiesta is defiantly function over form.
Built by Sitech Racing up in Rosyth, Scotland, it’s currently putting out 313bhp @ the wheels. Serious stuff.

This Focus ST was on a stand selling hydrodipped, er… things. They look more like polycarbonate bodies for radio controlled cars than anything for a Focus.

2015 Mustang
Europe gets the Mustang next year and Ford’s stand had this 5.0 V8 housed in it’s own dome shaped tent.
This was a left hooker but the ones you’ll be able to buy over here will be right hand drive.
