Ford Fair 2013: Cosworth

If there’s one thing you can count on with the Cosworths it’s variety - concourse and standard, track spec, street racer - anything that can be done with them has. No Ford Fair Cosworth gallery would be complete without a couple of photos that on first glance would appear to have been included by mistake. Wenny’s Mk3 Escort here being a perfect example. Scroll down to the engine bay pic though and all becomes clear. Where the original Cosworth that donated it’s heart is now is anyone’s guess, but the sacrifice of that car so that this one may cause a few double takes is what modifying cars is all about.
It’s been 17 years since a Ford Cosworth last rolled off the production line and after a long period as king of the fast Fords it seems its popularity may be on the decline. It’s no doubt due to the increasing age of the cars and perhaps the appearance of the Mk2 Focus RS - something to debate in another feature I think…
