Wireing Subs
At the weekend, im going to get a sun and amp for my car.... but as i didnt get the headunit removal tools i cant get the headunit out ( i can with i knofe or something but i dont want to until i get the sub), do i have to have a sub output in the back of sterio, or can i wire it up to one of the speakers. the spec for my sterio sais it has got a sub output, but i wanna double check, anybody know if the pioneer dehp3500mp has got sub output in the back,
cheers, john

It Should have 2 pre-outs on it you wire your amp from one of these and then wire your sub from your amp.

ok cheers mate, im a tiny bit unsure on how to wire it all up, is this correct.
* Battery positive to amp ( with in-line fuse),
* then the earth on the amp to wherever in the boot ( thats metal),
* then from back of sterio ( pre outputs) to the amp,
* then the amp to the sub.
but ive heart about a 'remote' wire that gives a little bit more power to the amp, is this correct,
Cheers , John
