im after a double din fitting kit for the mk1 focus, but cant seem to fine anyone in the use that sells the bits
does anyone know ehere would sell them? as i dont fancy having 2 bits of plastic shipped from the usa if i dont have to
this is what im after
http://www.amazon.com/Metra-95-5806-Ins ... nkc3047-20
ive done a web search and not come up with anything in the uk as yet, and ebay uk only seem to offer a complete face panel, which i dont want
anyone know ehere i can get the, or if you have some, then please reply
oh, if it makes any differance, the ehad unit to be fitted is a Pioneer AVH-2400BT

I'm stumped as well - it would be worth posting on the STOC / RSOC boards as no doubt someone with a MK1 will have fitted a double-din unit. I can't even see one on autoleads site.

Re: where to get focus double din fitting kit??
ive looked everywhere, even found a post on the RSOC, and one guy said they cant be got in the uk so ordered some from the states, but that was 8 months ago, so ive assumed they could be got here by now
but so far, found nothing
looks like i might have to order from the states, i dont mind doing that but the postage cost at some places is stupid, and they say things like 6 weeks delivery, wtf is that about! i dont fancy paying $40 for 7 day shipping too
gotta be someone in the uk that stocks them, im stumped too

MK1 focus is same radio as Mk4/5 fiesta aint it?
If so, it's only got a 1.5 din sized hole...

Re: where to get focus double din fitting kit??
its a 1.8 din mate, so wont take a full 2 din unit with the cage, but the unit can be fitted with the above kit
not all double din units are the same size though, it just happens the one i got is full size
but again, with the above kit, and a little trimming of a couple of tabs etc, it can be fitted
this is a pic ripped from the net of the said kit fitted with a full double din size head unit
