I thought Vix may need a hand with this so here's my proposed convoy route and itinery for peeps coming from the south/south east !

This Route shows us coming off M1 at J14 Milton Keynes A509 which seemed to be the quickest/shortest way, if there is a better route plz let me know


The entire trip should take just over 4 hours (driving sensibly!!! )

05:30 - Depart My Place
06:29 - Arrive Thurrock services - [Stop 1]
06:44 : Leave Thurrock services
07:15 - Arrive South Mimms services - [Stop 2]
07:30 : Leave South Mimms services
07:56 - Arrive Toddinton services - [Stop 3]
08:11 : Leave Toddington services
09:00 - Arrive Wicksteed Park - FITP

However, if I do go, I will probably choose to meet the convoy at Toddington Services, because if I meet at South Mimms i'll have 2 go back on meself a bit, so put me on the Toddington list with a question mark.

I should be able to let you know either later today or on Sunday Evening/Monday.

8.50am get up go meet the lads at maccyds
9.00am arrive at f.i.t.p

im feeling for you guys leaving at 5.30am!! you know youve gotta drag ya a$$es out of bed before 5am

im severely tempted to drive to the convoy starting point and stay in a hotel the night before just so i can go in the convoy i love convoys there such a laugh!

hey mike which way you going once you get off the m1? vix map shows a45 to wellingborough then through finedon to kettering, your map doesnt show the a45??? you show going into northampton then onto the a43??
i dont think theres a lot in it distance wise but i wanna know so i can jump on the convoy when you get into our area???

The A45 and A43 only needed if ppl come off the M1 at Junc15 but looks like their using the Multimap.com route via Junc12 or something i believe.

the m1 junctions round r way are

j15a Northampton (sixfields) a45 & a43
j15 Northampton (grange park) a45
j14 Miltonkeynes a509
j13 Bedford
j12 Dunstable

so if your coming up from london area it would make sense to come off at j15 but if your coming from the north it would make sense to come off at j15a

the a6 runs from bedford through rushden to kettering if they went through bedford i can see people getting lost also the a43 is tricky [ERRR] you have to negotiate northampton town centre if everyone goes on the a45 then me and my crew can meet the convoy at wellingborough tescos or maccy ds priory roundabout on the a45 and lead it to kettering heres vix map the a6 is the grey line between bedford and rushden:
