Im 20 with 2 years named driver with Bell @ 1480. VERY restricitve policy. If you got a retrictive policy you would probs be looking at 1000/1200 at best, thats with LOTS of playing companies off eachother. Took me a week solid to get that quote.
Restrictive = CAT1,Garrage,2000miles per anum, student with job, RSOC, No Mods (HU included in AV policy), Agreed Value (which is correct).

I was quoted around a grand for me on a Series 1 Turbo, 20 1NCB. 8k a year on a standard turbo, 3yrs driving experience. Be about the same, maybe a little less on the FRST.

Correct! Most insureres wont touch you until you are 21/25! Just shop around and play the insurers off eachother. You got to bite the bullet either way with a FRST!

I'm 19 and i think its admiral i got a quote on a escort rs turbo, value 2200 for 3000 miles a year. It is 1400 3rd party or 1700 fully comp. Ive got no no claims. May seem steep but only 3 companies will insure me and the other 2 charge 2700 3rd party.

That's in my name with mother as a named driver though and mods like exhaust suspension and wheels claimed. Anyone know if you can disconnect the speedo cable and just use a gps system to not get caught by gatsos?I obviously wouldn't but just curious

wtf, how is disconnecting the speedo cable going to stop cameras flashing you? In fact, how is disconnecting the cable going to bennefit you at all?

scotty... i wouldnt of thought so! Fraud btw. You cant dodge a GATSO, pic of your plate, simple as that. It seems a lot of effort just to break the law... what if u hit a pedestrian? or any fairly serious accident? police will check the car. Not worth it pal.
Back to the thread..........
im 23... no no-claims, 5 1/2 years experiece, couple of accidents. A standard car with cat1 but on driveway and 7000miles P.A was £697 TPFT. With Bell that is.
Pretty good.
