Re: Project XRR - List update in first post
Quick update.. hoping to get my bumpers skirts etc booked in with kent paints soon to be sprayed, get paid on the 25th so I'll let them do it if the price is right
My twin brother passed his driving test 1st time this morning so he will be insuring his Red Mk2 Golf next Thursday!! Cant wait to do my test now because I'm so determined to pass. Anyone who knows any identical twins will know how competitive they are! Should be in about 4 weeks time.
In the mean time, if anyone knows of any good places to buy 1) White primer 2) White body filler 3) the services of a talented sprayer (and supplier of paint) let me know!!

As soon as I'm done with my Fiesta I'm saving for a Mk4 Golf, 1.4 or 1.6 I expect. Treat it to some nice big R32 or RS6 alloys and an R32 Interior
What do you want next ?

Re: Project XRR - Brought Wheels =)
Good News
Just brought these.....

Not sure when they'll go on because I'll need some tyres, and I might wait until the crappy 1.3 suspension has been replaced before I risk rubbing!
Tempted to get a CAT 1 alarm fitted before hand aswel. Has anyone on here with a Mk3 Fiesta ever had any problems with people trying to steal there cars? Or is it pretty unheard of? I live on a private housing estate in a cul-de-sac and I'll be parked next to the likes of Mr Audi, Jag, Merc and BMW at work so not too worried

Looking good Alex, which wheels are they?
There have been a few break ins on the forum so its not unheard of. As a rule of thumb I would get an alarm sorted before modifications, i.e make sure the car is safe

At the moment i am undecided about whether i like the wheels.
But i will more than likely think differently when they are on the car with the tyes

The wheels are pretty "Euro" style. They're not available through suppliers in the UK either. Part of me really like's them cos they're different and when I finally get to ford fair its unlikely they'll be another Mk3 up there with the same wheels
I'll try and get a photoshop done of them on an XR2i, Probably a pic of M4X WW's old Mk3, not that mine wil ever look as good as that car did
EDIT

Here they are on the "Wolf" Fiesta (by Code:Red I think....).

I can't wait to get them on.
Will the wheels rub on a 1.3 Fiesta with 45 tyres? I need to get the alarm done before I do too much else (after the body kit is all on), but if I can leave the suspension until after the wheels are on then I will do!

What size are the wheels?
I've got 195/45/R15's and they only scrub going over bumps with a full car. (Edit - with a 40mm drop)

Be aware, with 16's on and not lowered it might look tractorish. I might be wrong though

They only use 19" wheels on their demo cars though (Mostly Focus ST's I think). The guy I brought them off tried to tell me they had actually been used on a demo car, but I'm not so sure. Unless they came off that Mk6 Fiesta....

In the past they offered some interesting performance mods and special edition fords.
These days they offer mostly styling mods.
Wolf parts are german TUV approved which guarantee quality.

Re: 5-dr Replica Project - Update: Eekkk driving test soon!!
Driving lesson in about 20 minutes, last one before my driving test on Monday! Practising manouvers today for an hour because he says my driving is fine for the test, and then we'll have a general hour before the test, then thats it! In gets the examiner.
Well want to pass because my twin has first time, but I know the worst thing that can happen is I'll fail.
Looking forward to it in a lot of ways. Just wana go there, pass and get it out of the way!
