Re: Getting a Black Mk4 Ghia 1.4 16v
It does look very clean! Good look with picking it up, bet you've got that excited "new car" feeling!

Re: Getting a Black Mk4 Ghia 1.4 16v
I am well excited. Be even better when I have a license to drive it un-supervised. bet you didnt see that one coming
I've never had the new car feeling before, so I am excited but very cautious at the same time. My first car, which sits gleaming in my garage as we speak, is a diamond white 1.3 mk3 5dr fiesta with 40k genuine miles on the clock, buttttt it was my step dads car for a bit before I had it, so it was a bit like... yeah.. thats pauls car registered in my name...
I do love the mk3 so much, its been so good buying stuff for it and making progressly... (slowly..) but I do like the idea of something a bit newer with a few more gadgets and stuff, and the engine is a massive massive plus too.

Sounds good mate! Just make sure you give the car a good look over first, don't just get too excited and buy it straight away! When I bought my fez zetec s a while back, the first one I viewed I was well excited any really wanted to just buy it straight off, but gave it a good look over and it turned out to be a bit of a shed, cigarette burn in back seat, rust on wheel arch, some underseal missing etc and looking back im sooooooo pleased I didn't get that one.

Its a 1.4! *shakes fist*
Damn you!
Only certain "top notch" Ghia's had the cream leather interior, I was looking at a MK5 Ghia in White with the cream leather interior - looked lovely!
Can't wait to see it. I might just come down to meet you at some point merely to have a nose and put faces to forum names and racer names! You're 20 as well aren't you?

Dave - I'll be going with either by step dad and step brother, or my step dad and older brother and they both know exactly what to look for, I'd hope I would now spending some time on here learning a bit more about Fiestas
under sills and arches probably the main thing on Fiestas? and around the sunroof and petrol cap but I suppose that's the same thing on most cars that age!
Nick - Yeah, it will be at my Dad's, but that's in Maidstone too so you'd be welcome to come and have a look. Me and Dave (and his gf
) would probably need to meet you somewhere in Maidstone and you could follow us (I'll come in the Fiesta
) unless you have Sat nav then we could just meet you there, would be good though! I haven't seen it yet, but I haven't seen a black Ghia without the creamy interior yet so... hoping!
