The Recaro Fiesta - the rebuild begins
Seriously though, I can understand your predicament. I heard you mention that you like the standard look so how about completely standard apart from lowered on 16" RS6's and keep the Recaro stickers.
You can use my car when you prise the keys out of my cold dead hands

sphinx :Whatever you plan on doing, run it by all of us first and we can say what can and can't be done
You're several months late on that front Tom - we decided the moment he bought it that we'd all own him if he made tweaks we didn't like!

I said nothing. I have seen Ghost, he doesn't swing his hips when he walks - I'm not interested.

I got the dash off ready for tomorrow. There is lots to sort out, basically need to find the reason why the fuel pump isn't priming and remove all unnecessary wiring.
This is what it was hiding -

MING
Those two centre air vents, give them a wiggle and see if they squeak against the sound proofing. If so, you might want to do what I did and cut notches out of the mat at the corners to stop them doing so

Naturally
heeman10 : A VERY satisfying discovery - THE DREADED FIESTA DASH RATTLE/SQUEAK! We all know about it, and I think...no, I'm pretty damn sure, I've found the culprits!!
Where the corners of all the vents touch the dash soundproofing, they squeak and creak when you move them! So I've cut out the sections where they interfere, and all seems well now:
Fingers crossed I'll have a quiet dash now

I have a new problem now
The alarm and immobiliser has been removed to eliminate half the problem, but now the fuel pump isn't getting the right output from the ofab ecu.
I now have the issue of maybe having to replace the Ecu for another one or the loom maybe faulty.
Either way I'm stuck now until i find a replacement.
If anyone has a ofab ecu lying around that they don't mind me borrowing then drop me a Pm.
