best modification you could ever do to a fiesta turbo is fit a t3!

lovely looking car, amazing amount of work gone into this and the final outcome is stunning!

Thanks guys :D

I wont be rushing to fit the T3. I may even send it off to be refurbed before fitting it. Still need to source a certain list of parts before i even think of fitting it. (injectors, downpipe etc)

My leaky sump and oil filter are getting on my nerves and the crank oil seal has gone alternator side. Belt is Squeaking from the oil.

I want to drop the engine out and renew all the gaskets and have a gander with the head off before i give it anymore power. The car will remain looking standard so no silly intercoolers will be appearing.

I fitted brand new Standard mirrors on wednesday along with new window seals. Im now a official standard freak !

The rest of the interior is back to Rs grey now. Rear door cards, rear shelf and shelf supports. B and C pillars covers finally refitted along with seat belt adjusters which are not snapped. Just need a rear tow eye welding back on

What do you think ?

Cheers fella. I have no idea what the second aerial is for, been there since i got it. under the headlining is just a unpluged connector of some sort. It may of been a in car phone of some sort :-?

Jay - Was you gonna remove the aerial and put a blanking bung in the hole or respray my roof in Diamond White? :P
I would very much like a tow eye, would the weld be strong enough to tow with or will it be just good for looking at ?

Dave i totally agree with you that mk3.5 mirrors look much better hence why i went for electric versions. But they seem so right on the car :D

Thanks for your kind posts - im over the moon with it now :Q

cheeky cont! once ive welded it on mate it would tear the box section before the welds break
and if temp is right and i can paint the roof i would, but this time of year is really a no go unless you got a heated garage or something, which i havent hence why my car isnt being finished

from what ya told me mate they sound fcuked, so i reckon a new set would be better.
mind you, now you havent got big wheels on why bother with coil overs? get a nice new koni set up or something with a 30/40mm drop.
remember, std frst is 25mm lower than a normal 2i or such, these companies do a kit for all mk3 so a 30mm drop will only in theroy be a 5mm drop over std on a frst, so a 40 might be better

Do ford still make the original shocks ? :P

Would std shocks work well with 40mm lowering springs ? or would konis do the job.

At the moment i feel every bump in the road, std susspension would make it more comfortable but i lose out on the benifits of coilovers.

i wouldnt use lower springs with std shocks, its just not really worth it, for the cost of buying std shocks then the springs it wouldnt be worth it, but if you do go std again, make sure you get frst shocks and springs, cos it does sit lower than 2i etc

I did some engine bay stuff today. I had the day off work as i sprained my ankle on saturday jumping off the machinary

I Went round and tightened up a few things that seemed to work loose. Firstly the exhaust manifold nuts needed nipping up a tad and so did the rocker cover 10mm nuts. Then cleaned up the spark plugs.

I also got round to sorting out my oil catch tank as my K&N was caked in oil.
