A Freind of mine got caught doing 9o odd mph in a 60 Zone by a Laser Camra,
he was given a £60 pound fine and 3 points, however, on the Endorsement Yellow Form the hand writing is so bad he can't see what code the offence is,
is it an SP30 ? or a 40 ? or a 60 ?

SP30 is 'Exceeding statutory speed limit on a public road' and carries 3 - 6 points.
An SP40 is ' Exceeding passenger vehicle speed limit', again, 3 - 6 points.
SP60 is an 'Undefined speed limit offence' once again 3 - 6 points.
Doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference between the three codes, unless the SP40 means minibus, coach etc for 'passenger vehicle'.
It will be clearly printed when you get your, I mean when your 'friend'
gets his license back.

Problem is that his INsurence Runs out Tommorow and he needs to know the offence Code.
i looked up on the DVLA, but could either be a 30 or a 60
it says that sp60 is an undefiened speeding offence
and an sp30 is excceding a Statory Speed Limit,
