Re: smoothing bumpers
Sand the bumper down and spray over it.
And yea body filler will do it.

Re: smoothing bumpers
Nope, just simple sand down make it smooth, spray and lacquer should be fine.
Do standard mk3 bumpers have a grain to them then? I've never realised they did to be honest lol.

Re: smoothing bumpers
If he has standard bumpers then yes. They should feel like that.
They aren't painted and are made from textured plastic.
Sand them and painting them will be fine. Can also use filler on the recess fine too.

Re: smoothing bumpers
White spirit would probably do it, but i would use autoglym super resin polish, its what i used on some cars and motorbikes before and it works a treat, and leaves a nice shine too

No, the majority of standard Fiesta's had black plastic bumpers with the texture. Only the colour coded bumpers have the same effect.

Re: smoothing bumpers
Some models had body coloured bumpers (ghia i think?). It'd probably be alot less hassle to try and pick up a pair of these, I bet they wouldn't cost much.
