Aren't Sachs standard shocks? I think 'most' of them are oil-filled too.

Well £200 will buy you a pair of decent ones?

Thought about getting a full kit. Spax do a nice 30mm kit for about £260. 30 mm will be a million times better for driving the car and will handle right due to the geometry not being pushed so far out. 60mm really is too low from (lots of) experience.

I ran Sachs shocks. They are standard replacements.

They're too soft for use with lowering springs and you will constantly bottom out.

Talking from experience.

Sach Shocks are found on the Focus RS and they make a lot of Ford OEM stuff so can't be to bad!

£200 is for the full 4-set. Yeah I got my 60mm springs sitting here but I won't put them on 'cause I think itll be too low. I think 40 will be best.

A full set of shocks for £200 will not be too good matey. Please don't say you are considering or have purchased G-Lax shockers :(

40 will be far more sensible. My FRST was dropped 60mm as I had 60mm springs in my spares box. Changed them to 30mm springs and the handling improved ten fold and oddly it seems to have gained mechanical grip as well which I can only put down to the corrected suspension geometry

Yeah I'm only going 40mm now :) Just a question, can I use my 60mm springs and have the guys at the shop only lower it 40mm? Because when I bought the springs it said UP TO 60mm, so surely it can be done 20, 30, 40, whatever I want right?

Fraid not fella. The hight is dictated by the spring. It's not adjustable. It covers the manufacturer across the models as Si/XR and RS models all sit lower than the base models from the factory
