Replace, rebuild or scrap?

I have an 08/1995 (N) MK3 Fiesta Sapphire that threw a con rod through the block. The bodywork is in great condition so don't really want to scrap the car unless I need to. Money's tight so not many options really. Would it be cheaper to have a rebuild, replacement engine or just cut my losses and scrap the whole car?

Look about, eBay, Gumtree, etc, you'll find a replacement engine for that for £50!
