quick turbo question
my erst
night i bought it i got it home and a bit of blue smoke came out. was gutted. over a few weeks this got worse and eventually u could be sat at traffic lights and u would see this big blue cloud slowly drift past you
could tell turbo was on way out as well because it wasnt boosting like it used to.
then the smoke stopped. no blue smoke when it was idling and none when u started it up. only very occasionally would u see a bit
but the turbo wasnt boosting like it should.

Mine does exactly the same.
Had a new turbo, and still the same
Replaced head gasket, still the same
Probably new turbo that is not working properly,
but color of smoke is exactly the same
sometimes it doesn't do it for a couple of days, then all of a sudden it decides to chuck out loads
If you find out what it is, let me know

Have you always used the same grade oil at changes? Cos a few years back I tried filling my ERST with Mobil 1 0W/ 30 or whatever it was. It smoked really badly and sounded like a bag of nails. I changed it for a different grade synthetic oil and it was fine.
