Q for clifford G5 + smartwindows owners...

Postby wyll_2k on Thu Apr 06, 2006 2:51 pm

I have a Clifford G5 alarm with smartwindows and as the weather's getting decent wanted to use the vent option of smart windows. But it keeps on setting off the alarm after a few seconds - what am i doing wrong?

I thought the idea was u could vent the car and still have the alarm armed :-?

PS - It also has ultrasonics and a proximity sensor if that matters

i asked the guy who fitted it and he never got bk to me

I read in the manual before and it looked like it was supposed to bypass the sensors when venting anyway :-S

But I tried arming, then sensor disable, then vent, and it didn't go off this time. cheers :D

sorry fella, battery went dead the other night

was going to suggest interior sensitivity, at the end of the day it is a moving part, and the relays might be enough to have caused it

just 'fiddle' again!
MotorcyclesFish :The thing is if I caught Brian fudgekin a bloke, I wouldn't think 'oh Brian's a gay', I'd think 'Brian that fudgekin weird haired mongoloid is raping a gay to see if anyone finds it funny'

no worries, an auto electrician will be looking at it thursday so whatever it is it'll be sorted once and for all

I did the sensor disable before venting and it worked fine anyway

Just check that the interface cable between the smartwindows module & Alarm brain is plugged in as this is the communication link between the 2 units.
Worth a try as it might not need to go to a sparky!
