Ratspeed :my fiesta did about 1500 miles last year and in no way do i feel its a waste of money!

Mate, if you keep your fiesta low miles, you never know, years down the line it could be one of the last decent mk3's and worth a bob :)

here here :D :D

15 years ago mk1 escorts were worth a few hundred quid, 10 years ago you could get a mk1 fiesta for about 80!

youd be looking at 3-4k for a 1100 escort at the mo and if you can find a decent fez youd be lucky to get one under a grand.

If you had a very nice un welded ,low mileage ,rust free 1 or 2 owner mint box, povo spec ( ) your lookng 1500 plus.
Dont get me started on xr's and SuperSports

It still doesnt matter how long we are talking, if no one ever preserved the milage on their car, there would be no low mileage minters about today:rolleyes:

small update

sorted my rear fog bulb out with some of my mums nail varnish, couldnt get a red bulb for the fog so ive been forced to paint it. funny thing is the nail varnish smells of strawberry,so when i put the rear fog on its doubling up as an air freshener.

plastic welded the crack in the front bumper and filled it smooth

removed the surface rust on the front valance and hammerited it

had a bit of a wobble in the steering when i had the steels on so i stuck the turbo alloys back on and the wobble is gone :D

hopefully later this week ill stick the other bonnet back on, get all the paint, stick the gazebo up in the back garden and get painting.

then its just gmax shocks and springs on all the corners, road tax, then mot in a couple of months :D

got the car out the garage today,

stuck my old bonnet back on for now, took the skirts off to see if theres any rust forming, was one small scap of surface rust on the drivers side, and a dodgy repair of filler the previous owner done. so ill need a new driver side sill or get it patched depending on how money is, the passenger side is ok apart from a hole the size of my finger tip in the sill :x so ill be getting that sorted aswell. also cleaned the passenger recaro with a bit of 1001, come up really good so ill do the driver side when its a bit warmer. finally got the morrettes in aswell.

a couple of photos, bad quality because i had to use my phone

as soon as paypal sort out my direct debit to my bank ill be finally ordering my gmax kit

i might have already said but my bumper had a small crack in it where a stone flew up, tried filling it but it came back, done a plastic weld, but it just come back, getting pissed off with it now because i just want it painted :x so.. im just gonna look for another bumper without cracks or splits to save myself more wasted time.

took the bumper to a body shop today, theyve said they can mend the split :D so while i was there i got a quote for my turbo bonnet, they can paint both for £100 including primer, laquer and some activator. i reckon its a pretty good price considering last year i had a bonnet painted by one of my dads so called mates at a "good discount" of £100 for just one side of the bonnet :o
