Cheers Steve! - got to get it back to mine to give it a proper inspection too - the garage its currently sitting in is useless, no space inside it, traffic outside it - at least when its on my drive I can get it up in the air and get the bits and pieces sorted.

How far have you got to move it to get it to yours? Like Steve said, I'm up for helping if there's an ideal time we can all get together

About two miles! Problem is the nearest trailer I can get hold of is in Gillingham and the car to tow it is in West Wickham
What I'm planning to do is get the gear selector and exhaust sorted, book a cheap MOT, drive it to the MOT test centre, then when it fails/passes I'll drive it back to mine instead of where it currently is.
Unless of course I can find an MOT tester who can do an MOT without seeing the car
