as per title really....just as my life starts to get busy my open uni course starts! I'm doing 2 preporatory courses before I start my diploma in environmental policy. So it's a long haul but hey once I'm done I'll be able to put the 'dip env pol' after my name and actually get into the industry that I want to work in (developing renewable fuel resources). Due to my circumstances I've got funding for all the courses I've done a few open uni courses at home but this is the first one where I have to go back to the class room. I can't wait to get my teeth into it and start learning again

I think the time is right for me to look forward and plough on (Some of you guys will know exactly what I mean) so thanks to all my good friends on here (old and new) you've all been a real help and support.....like real friends should be

So anyway....off to hit the books....and resist watching diagnosis murder

Dontpannic - I had a place at portsmouth uni when I left college to study environment design and sustainable management. I gave up my place when found (what I thought at the time.....stupid cow) was true love awww.....6 years later, 1 baby on, 1 engagement later & 1 mortgage done I'm now back pedalling to what I should of done from the start

Bit of a slow start for me as 2008 was going to be 'my year' but hey I'm getting there and this is just one small step in the right direction

well went to my first tutorial lastnight and it went really well It's only just dawned on me just what I've taken on but in 9 months tme I'll have another qualification before I go onto the next one

Well I just got my first assignment back....70% good girl!!! Really really surpised as I didn't think I'd do as well as I did it from start to finish in 2 hours I'm so pleased, it's been a long since I last had to write an essay. Bit of a shame that this only counts towards 4% of the overall course mark but it's a good start. Onto the next section of 'questioning identity' now and the next assignment

thanks Lou....not got as far as lord humphreys tea room trade yet (i hope that's right study that I remember us chuckling about. If not then this won't make much sense...a bit like me saying george lincoln instead of abraham lincoln )

but anyway, im really really pleased so I'm eager to get on with the next bit. Once Max is in bed tonight (after we've had our cuddle under the blanket on the sofa and he's covered me in thomas the tank ENGINE stickers) I'll hit the books....no wild saturday night for me....til next weekend
